BNI Northeast Florida Hosted its 1st Annual Charitable Golf Tournament
On April 26, BNI Northeast Florida hosted its 1st annual charitable golf tournament, luncheon and silent auction at the Slammer & Squire golf course in St. Augustine, Florida. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the BNI Misner Charitable Foundation. The Misner Foundation is a non-profit program that supports local and global charitable causes relating to children and education in communities where BNI is operating. The primary focus of the foundation is to provide small mini-grants for educational projects. Click here to view photos from the event.

BNI Northeast Florida to Host First Annual Golf Tournament
Proceeds will benefit the Misner Foundation’s Mini-Grants for Children and Education
Jacksonville, Florida – April 07, 2010– BNI (Business Network International), the world’s largest business networking organization specializing in business referrals among members will host its first annual golf tournament on April 26, at the Slammer & Squire Golf Course, World Golf Village, in St. Augustine, Florida. The event will include a silent auction, lunch and networking. All proceeds raised will be donated to the Misner Foundation.
The Misner Foundation is a non-profit program that supports local and global charitable causes relating to children and education in communities where BNI is operating. The primary focus of the foundation is to provide small mini-grants for educational projects. These grants are given out once a year, generally in September.
"We are grateful for the support of our members and guests who will help make this tournament a success," says Lynne Coggin, Executive Director of BNI Northeast Florida. "Proceeds from events such as this provide important funding for charitable causes relating to children around the world.”
The cost to participate in the tournament is $125 per player or $500 for a four-some. The cost includes: continental breakfast, lunch and golf a cart. Gift bags will be given to all golfers as well as prizes for longest drive and closest to the hole. The schedule of events for the tournament is as follows:
Registration – 7:00 am
Golfers tee off – 8:00 am
Lunch and Silent Auction: 12:30 pm - 4:00pm
For those only interested in joining the luncheon and networking portion of the event the cost to attend $35.

Lynne Coggin, Executive Director of BNI Northeast Florida Selected as a Finalist of the 2010 Women in Business Awards
Jacksonville, Florida – March 16, 2010– Women Business Owners of North Florida along with the Professional Women’s Council of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce, has selected Lynne Coggin, Executive Director of the Northeast Florida region of BNI as a finalist for the 2010 Women in Business Franchisee of the Year award. The Women in Business Awards recognize and honor women who epitomize success in today’s business world. The award winners will be announced during a special luncheon on Wednesday, March 24 at 12:00pm at the Omni Jacksonville Hotel.
